Course Description

Weekly instruction including proper playing positions, technique work, breathing and tone exercises, sight-reading techniques, and ensemble and solo music performance. All students are encouraged to play in school music ensembles, youth orchestras, flute choirs, solo recitals, and attend master classes and concerts.

 

Required Materials

• A notebook for assignments and practice schedule

• Music books recommended according to the level of the pupil.
• A quite place at home to practice including a music stand and a MIRROR
• A metronome
• Not required but highly recommended: A Tuner
  
  

Payment

Lessons are charged by the month. Payment is due on the last week of the previous month.

All payments received after the 10th of a new lesson month will result in a $10 late fee added to the next billing.

 

Lesson fees

45 Minute Lessons: $37.50 per lesson x 4 lessons per month = $150/month

1 Hour Lessons: $50.00 per lesson x 4 lessons per month = $200/month

 

Policy

All students are required to attend scheduled lessons and arrive on time.

There will be NO REFUNDS for missed lessons. Francesca will attempt to reschedule lessons canceled if a minimum of 24 hours notice is given. If Francesca cannot teach a lesson, a make-up lesson will be scheduled or when possible a highly qualified substitute will teach in her place (very rare).

Spending money on lessons is not worthwhile unless practice time is put in! Students should practice every day for a minimum of their lesson time (ie. 45 min lesson student should practice a min of 45 per day). Students who continually show up to lessons unprepared will be dropped from the studio.

Students who wish to discontinue lessons must give a 30 day notice.
